Markie Nelson- Memory Illustration

  1. Its a fun style that reminds me a lot of early detailed video game box art. Theres a lot of interesting detail here. It makes me want to know more about the story. My suggestion is to work on the anatomy of the girl in the foreground. She feels off and unbalanced.

  2. Markie I am LOVING this. The composition and coloring is so on point. It has a really nice sense of energy and rhythm to it, really really good composition. The only thing i'd suggest is maybe fixing the boys profile a bit- but super nice work!

  3. This is awesome! I really like the dynamic composition. The colors are working really well, too. I think that lightening the background might help the characters pop a little bit. It also might help to add a bit more to the top and left side, just to let the composition breathe a bit more.

  4. Nice work! I definitely think it is one of your strongest pieces. However, I think when you have so much good going on it's easy to pay less attention to the little things - the bushes on the right side of the composition look like you carelessly threw them in 10 seconds. I would render them out and give them more form and variety. As well as the lettering, spend a little more time to render those out and get the type and spacing right because it's distracting. One last thing, the clouds could be a lot softer in the background. But your lighting is so on point, and I love all the action going on. Definitely a tough perspective, but I think you pulled it off!
