I went ahead and defined the shapes on the fire more, as we discussed in class. I ended up sticking with some shapes that read as fire but would still keep the "flat" look I was trying to go for with the painting. I also added some definition on the girl's forms with some shadows and warmer glows in certain areas but again, not too much in order to keep the look I was trying to go for.
